Privacy Policy
This is an early draft in English. The final version, along with its Arabic translation, will be published before public launch.
ANIS Privacy Policy (DRAFT)
Status: DRAFT, not yet published. This is the canonical English source. Before launch it must be (1) reviewed by a lawyer or at minimum checked against the app-store / Google OAuth verification requirements, (2) given a published Arabic translation (Arabic is the primary product language), and (3) hosted at a public URL (e.g.
https://<anis-domain>/privacy) that the desktop app, the Android Play listing, and the Google OAuth consent screen all link to. Bracketed[...]values are placeholders that must be filled.
Effective date: [DATE] Operator: ADAMAX [legal entity name, jurisdiction, registered address] Contact: adamax.apps@gmail.com
1. What ANIS does
ANIS is a voice transcription product. You record audio; ANIS converts it to text using an AI model and delivers the text where you are working.
2. Data we process
Processed on our servers (signed-in use)
- Account data: your email address and Google account identifier
(
subclaim), obtained when you sign in with Google; your subscription plan; account creation date. - Usage metadata per transcription request: recording duration, word count, model token counts, provider cost, processing latency, the Command used, and a timestamp. This is used for quota metering, billing, abuse prevention, and service monitoring.
- Audio recordings: sent to our server only to be transcribed. Audio is forwarded to our AI provider (OpenRouter, routing to Google Gemini models) and is not stored on ANIS servers. [Verify and disclose the AI Gateway logging configuration: if request payloads are logged, say so and state the retention period.]
- Transcript text: returned to your device. ANIS servers do not store your transcript text. [Update if server-side history sync ships later.]
Stored only on your device
- Transcript history (local SQLite database).
- Optional audio archives of your recordings (off by default).
- Personalization data: your custom vocabulary, user rules, and custom Commands.
- App settings, including the name/category of the application you were dictating into (used to adapt output formatting; never sent to our servers beyond the transcription prompt of that request).
- Your session token, stored in the operating system’s secure keyring.
You can delete on-device data at any time by clearing history in the app or uninstalling it.
3. Third-party processors
| Processor | Purpose | Data shared |
|---|---|---|
| Google (OAuth) | Sign-in | OAuth identity (email, subject id) |
| Cloudflare | Hosting (Workers, D1), AI Gateway | All server-side data above |
| OpenRouter → Google Gemini | AI transcription | Audio + transcription prompt |
| Lemon Squeezy | Payments and subscription management | Email, plan, payment data (ANIS never sees card numbers) |
4. What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your audio or transcripts to train AI models. [Confirm the OpenRouter / Gemini API data-use terms allow this statement, the paid Gemini API does not train on customer data, but this must be re-verified for the exact routing used.]
- We do not show ads.
5. Retention
- Account and usage metadata: kept while your account exists.
- Audio: not retained after transcription completes (see §2).
- You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and irreversible: your account record and all server-side data keyed to it (usage metadata, quota state, sign-in sessions) are permanently deleted when you confirm. Data stored on your device is not affected.
6. Your rights
You can delete your account and all server-side data directly in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account, see §5). You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by contacting adamax.apps@gmail.com. [Add jurisdiction-specific sections as required: GDPR if serving the EU, and the data-protection laws of the primary launch markets, e.g. Egypt PDPL / Saudi PDPL.]
7. Children
ANIS is not directed at children under [13/16] and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy at the URL above and update the effective date. Material changes will be announced in the app.
